Description

1 individual petition (prisoner) and 1 collective petition (21 residents of London including addresses) on behalf of Charles Harper convicted at the Old Bailey in February 1834 for stealing a watch from Jonor Nicolas. Grounds for clemency: first offence. Initial sentence: life transportation. Gaoler's report: character not known, respectable connections. Annotated: nil. AT 25
