- Folio 219. Letter from Richard Michell Hodge, Clerk to the Guardians of the Truro Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission stating that the collector for St Agnes appointed shortly after the formation of Truro Union appears to have carried out the duties of the office for not more than a few months although no formal resignation had been received by the board of guardians and that the board consider a collector should be appointed for the parish of St Agnes. Annotated: to reply that the former collector having, as it appears from your letter, vacated the office and ceasing to discharge its duties for several years, the guardians may proceed to appoint another collector under the Commission's order of 7 July 1837. To request that the particulars of the appointment when made be reported in the usual form. Paper Number: 2395/A/1844. Poor Law Union Number 57. Counties: Cornwall.
