Description

Petition of William Lemon, Master Shipwright and Charles Cheshire, Master Attendant of Antigua Yard seeking an increase in their salaries on the basis that decreased allowances and increased taxation had resulted in their being paid less than the Foreman of Shipwrights and the Foreman of Sailmakers. Further, the salaries in the Department of the Naval Hospital have been increased and prices are exorbitantly high.
