Letter from the Inspector General's office at the Admiralty to the Portsmouth Officers. The position of manufacturing articles included in the Blockmaker's contract, at the Portsmouth Yard. Lists items which it is considered should be delivered already manufactured. Mentions arrangements made to send additional workmen from Mr Maudsley's shop to assist for the present, and the provision of three additional machines. Are confident that the wood mills will be able to make and furnish all the articles mentioned in the Blockmaker's contract,with the exception of those listed, by 1st November.
