Philip Stephens. John Ray, Midshipman, late belonging to the Diana, was left sick on shore in April 1758 and never could board her again but sailed on other ships until he was paid off in July 1763 from the Kennington. He claims he has never received any wages for HM ships on which he served in North America. How he stands on the books. We have no proof of what he says and no books. If he can produce certificates, opine he should be entered in the Kennington's books the day after his discharge from the Diana
