Description

Philip Stephens. Count Haslang, the Bavarian Minister, has asked for the wages of Conrade Smith to be paid for the Modeste, although he is Run. How he stands on the books. There does not appear to be any such ship in the Service as the Pompey Brig to which he is supposed to be turned over. It is not usual to remove Rs of men who run in time of war, but as this man is a foreigner, ask whether he should be relieved
