John Clevland. Peter Evanson purchased a ticket for the wages of John Wilkins, Carpenter's Mate of the Dunkirk which is less than it should be owing to a mistake made by Lord Howe. He has also purchased others with mistakes and asks to be relieved. John Wilkins was discharged in October 1755 and received his pay from July 1755 in the Torbay. Opine the charge should be charged against Lord Howe and paid the purchaser. For the other reported mistakes he should produce the tickets as they are not lodged in this office
