Folios 161-162. A letter from [S W Scots], Rotherfield Park, Alton, [Hampshire], regarding the village of Farringdon, two miles form Alton. He requests, on the behalf of the rector and the parish, that two policemen could be stationed at the town for a short time. The parish has lately been the scene of many disturbances and, though they have sworn in some special constables, they need assistance in apprehending the ringleaders.
