Report of John Silvester, Recorder of London on 1 individual petition (William Dines) on behalf of Diana Lovell, nurse convicted at the Old Bailey on 1 July 1812 of stealing bank notes and guineas from the dead wife of William Willocks. Grounds for clemency: poor health as a result of imprisonment, given an excellent character by 20 respectable friends, defence lawyer did not properly bring all facts out in court, did not call all the witnesses and the money Willocks found was Lovell's own money. Initial sentence: [death? no details given]. Recommendation: no mercy as the Recorder considers the information supplied by Dines to be false. Folios 235-242.
