'I understand you are entering upon a new article about Charcole, and tht. you are so good as [to] give me an offer to come into it, upon the same Termes my neighbour Kirkby does. We shall have a good deale of Colewood hear abouts shortly, the Tenants of Broughton and Dunnerdale having purchased theirs Free, and we apprehend there is a very convenient place for a Forge on the River Duddon, wch. would be a great advantage to the neighbourhood, provided you could think fit to errect one their, the Cariage of Coles to the present Forges makeing yors. of small value to the owners.'
