Title (The name of the record)

List, copied or compiled from the records in the Tower of London, of some of the arms and armour seized by Sir William Saunders from Sir Thomas Cawarden, 29 Jan 1554, and subsequently consigned to the Tower. An endorsement, probably in Cawarden's hand, 'A note out of the Tower books', indicates the source and suggests that it was made at the behest of Sir Thomas, perhaps later in connection with his appeal for recompense. Numbered '59.' [Film Fo 320.29]
