1 Present development. 2 Future development: Mr Cutler advised that he as preparing a provisional specification for the sports car and this would be available for discussion by 27 April. (a) Provision of Hobbs Transmission. The dates given for the supply of the prototype have gone back due to our agreement to a request from Messers Hobbs that they be permitted to redesign the control gear to make it common to that being supplied to other manufacturers. It will be completed by 22 June 1953. 3 Production: (a) 18 hp car. there are 3 yet to be finished o complete sanctions. (b) Of the 244 finished cars awaiting sale, 96 are at agents SOR. The 244 comprise 41 Hurricanes, 101 4-light Whitleys, 79 6-light Whitleys and 23 Station Coupes. 4 Sapphire cars: We are aiming to increase production to achieve 70 cars per week to despatch by the end of August.and are studying plans for increase in production to 100 per week, should it be decided to go ahead with the new layout. 5 Costs: The revised estimated total cost is £299,723.
