Mr. R. Beck begins his letter writing that he was 'heartily in agreement' with the views which Elizabeth Taylor Cadbury had expressed in her letter to 'The Friend'. He suggests 'we have a great deal to learn from our fellow Christians of other denominations'. Beck provides a description of the Friends' Meeting in Bridgewater and remarks that he and his wife had attended a Congregationalist service where the large congregation had joined in prayer and praise 'for the deliverance of the thousands from Dunkirk'.
