Genre: Landscape Photography. Mirjan (in sight from the eastward side of the fort) is some 3 or 4 miles up stream, on a southward bend of the river. Tadri, among the trees commences just inside the bar. In the 2nd Mysore War a detachment of Bombay N.I., under Lieut. Ross, burnt what was said to be intended for a 50 gun ship, building on the stocks for Tipu Sultan. The shipwrights were Frenchmen from Mauritius.
