Nature of request
[Petition in four parts].1) Doule requests that he be received to the king's homage and take an oath of service because of the lands which follow and are situated in Normandy, and that they be given to the petitioner free of the charges named hereafter, and he be given all mobile goods and debts that should descend to him in the same country.2) Land belonging to his father in Heudebouville and around from which the king has given a rent to the bastard of Crotoy.3) The land that has descended to him from his mother in the same place.4) Lands of Neufville, [...] which belonged to Lady Margaret Bejaunt, and after to the petitioner, and now Chaumbre is holding them of the king's gift of a certain amount of rent though they are worth more.5) He further complains that Chaumbre is ruining the lands and rents in various ways.

The petition is dated to 1420-1422 because it is addressed to the king of England and the regent of France, and is, therefore addressed to Henry V in that short period between his assumption of the title of heir and regent of France on 21 May 1420 and his death on 31 August-1 September 1422.
