The petitioner and her husband had issue, John, and upon her husband's death, certain people pretending that her late husband died seised of the manor of Clapham and held of the prince, though this was not the case, have taken John, her son, away from the petitioner, claiming him to be a ward of the prince, though there was no cause to do this. She requests that she may be restored to the possession of her son, and to command her father, who has his keeping, to deliver him to her according to right and conscience.
