Note
CCR 1330-3 p.197 is dated 12 February 1331, and clearly refers to the same matter. But it is addressed to John Byk, keeper of the manors of Wheatley and Gringley, whereas he is referred to here as the late keeper of Tickhill, and this petition also refers to the parliament at Westminster in 4 Edward III (November 1330). These things would seem to justify the date of '1331-4 or later: probably 1334' given on the guard of the petition.
