Wellys requests remedy against Marcel and Thomas Daniel, Hunt and Stapilgate who, at Stapilgate's instigation, came with force and arms to Stourmouth church, where he and his wife were, and beat and wounded him, maiming his left arm.

[On face] 1) Memorandum to make a writ on this request and on two other disputes concerning the release of John Lacy and Jugler who are in the tower in prison.2) Wells sues to the King.[On dorse] He should have a day before the council on the quinzaine of Easter next.
