Description

Includes returns of prisoners, 1860 to 1881, committed to prison by the Court of Chancery and, from 1875, the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice, together with reports arising from their imprisonment by the Solicitor to the Suitors Fund, later the Official Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Judicature. The series also includes transfers of actions in the High Court, 1904-1955, and committal warrants, 1904-1961, as well as shorthand notes of the trial, in R v Sir Roger Casement and Daniel Julian Bailey, 1916.
