Nature of request
Foys requests that it is granted to him and his heirs in perpetuity all the right that Delane, the king's enemy and rebel had, together with the motte of Saugnac which is destroyed and deserted which Delane held, with all their appurtenances which Foys conquered from the French and rebels at his own cost and put in the king's obedience and holds at present. This he asks for the place was a great damage to the king's lieges and he has incurred great expenses in conquering the place and raising a good strong tower there.
