- William de Claverie, sergeant-at-arms, states that he has served the king and his father for thirty-two years and more, and has never asked for any reward. He requests the keeping of the gate of Bordeaux castle, with the keeping of the prisons, which Thomas de Scuris holds during pleasure, for term of life, and also the keeping of the tower of the same castle, which Berduc de Mestre holds for ten years, nine of which have passed.
- Nature of endorsement
- He is to have the keeping of the tower, when the term of the said Berduc is finished. With regard to the keeping of the gate, he is to sue to the king.
