- William de Mountandre states that he has served the king all his life, and has been given £40 sterling of rent annually by the king; but he has not received any of this. And in the present war he has lost all his lands, worth 200 marks and more, and as fine a fortress as any knight in the king's realm has; and he has nothing on which to live or to maintain his estate. He requests the castellany of Bourg for term of life, in compensation for the £40 of rent; and that he might be paid the arrears of the £40 for the last five years..
