Nature of request
John Bytam, John Galuy, Patrick Galuy and John Scotte request letters patent giving them power to arrest a ship called the 'Mary of Kinsale' wherever it might be found, and to bring it to London, to remain there until it is delivered by the King and council, notwithstanding any grant or gift previously made by the King or his Lieutenant of Ireland, and charging all the King's officers and lieges to aid them in this. They also request a writ to the Earl of March, the King's Lieutenant in Ireland to aid them in this, and to the Earl of Ormond to deliver the ship to them.
Nature of endorsement
On 9 May in the twenty-first year etc. it was agreed by the council that commissions and writs should be made according to the contents of this bill, and also letters of the privy seal in accordance with the said commissions and writs, likewise making mention of the letters issued previously for the matter contained in this bill. And that when the ship mentioned here has arrived at London, it will remain in the keeping of the Mayor of London until this matter is determined.In the presence of: the Chancellor, the Treasurer, the Keeper of the Privy Seal, John Bussy, Henry Grene, John Russell, Ralph Selby, Robert Farynton, Richard Ronhale, Laurence Drewe.
