The petition requests a writ to the Mayor, Sheriffs and Coroner of Bristol, to release a ship and its contents, which they have arrested for the death of Andrew de Noddo, put to guard the ship by Ger Thomas, Augustine Simond, Dyne de Petre and their companions, merchants of Florence living in Flanders and by the ships' master, as Andrew was only the servant of the said merchants.
