- [The petition is damaged in places].Petition in three parts.1) Sumery requests that the king remember the service he has done to him as prince and king, and to his father, and that he fulfil promises made to him during the king's pilgrimage to Canterbury, which have not been forthcoming.2) Sumery requests that the king will command for his advancement for he has been in the king and his father's service for 23 years in Chancery and the Wardrobe without any advancement, travelling six times to Ireland, four times to Scotland and once to Flanders.3) Sumery requests that he be paid wages and expenses due to him from the time of the king and his father.1)
