Nature of request
The canons request that they are able to have the keeping of their temporalities during the next vacancy of the office of abbot. They also request that the justice of Ireland that he is able to grant a licence that at the next vacancy that they are able to elect the next abbot. They also request that it is granted that they are able to receive gifts from their friends and purchase land.1)
Nature of endorsement
They should have a writ to the treasurer and barons.2) They should have a writ to the justice that he grant a licence.3) They should have a writ of licence to acquire in fee up to £20 notwithstanding the statute.
