Nature of request
The fishermen request remedy as the king, queen and prince commission many purveyors to take fish at Blakeney for their use, but did not specify how many fish, and the purveyors take more than they deliver to the king, queen and prince and sell them against the will and intent of the king, queen and prince.
Nature of endorsement
[The response is damaged and parts are missing or illegible:]It is agreed by the council in the presence . . . and the treasurer of the household . . . for the household . . .containing the number of fish . . . that they make purveyance for the Household without which no attendance be made to the purveyors . . . letters patent be made both to the bailiffs and people of the vill as others . . . that such letters containing the number of fish . . . the manner be made in purveyances to the Household of Queen Philippa and the prince, and if any purveyors act to the contrary, let it be done as it is contained in the statute of purveyors.
