- Henry de Schotiston and Marion his wife state that in the last Eyre in Northumberland, before Hugh de Cressingham and his companions, the King impleaded them concerning their tenements in Bamburgh, which have been of Marion's inheritance from time immemorial, stating that the tenements were given for keeping the gate of Bamburgh castle. An inquisition was held which found for the tenants, but two years ago the escheator seized the tenements. They request a remedy.

- They are to have a writ in Chancery to the Escheator this side of the Trent, to inform the King and council of the reason why the tenements contained in the petition were taken into the King's hand, and how and in what way. And the writ is to be returned before the King.
