The Abbot of Chertsey states that he and his predecessors since before the Lateran council have always had a tithe of all animals domestic and wild, and of the agistment of herbage and pannage in the park of Windsor, but that in the third year of the present King's reign, William le Mareschal, then constable and keeper of the park, withheld the tithe of foals and all other things, and delivered it to the Abbot of Waltham who has no right to it; and this has continued since then.
