Folios 178-180. Letter from Thomas Badger, ------ ------, C. Cartwright, [C H (Charles Henry) Molineux] magistrates for Dudley, Worcester, to the Secretary of State Home Department, stating that 96 special constables had been appointed because of the extreme state of excitement during the election in the Borough.
Deposition from Thomas Badger, ------ -----, Corns. Cartwright, magistrates for Dudley Worcester, to Lord John Russell and the Right Honourable Thomas Henry Lord Foley, Lord Lieutenant of the County of Worcester, stating that because of the excited state of public feeling within the town [Dudley] and neighbourhood, 96 special constables had been appointed. A list of the appointees, their occupations and address' are included.
