Description

Russian Empire: Kinburn Spit (Kinburnskaya Kosa; now in Ukraine). 'Plan of Kinbourn Fort and the intrenched Position of the Allied Army on 17th Octr. 1855': map of the environs of Fort Kinburn, at the tip of the peninsula, showing contours. Scale: 6 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. Surveyed by Lieutenant C G Gordon, Royal Engineers, 27 October 1855. Endorsed with details of the [Russian] troops and armaments captured.
