MS additions showing the positions of a temple, a tea-house and an incident that occurred on 30 July 1863; the English translation 'Eight views of Kanasawa' has been added in MS below the printed Japanese title. Signed by Captain Frederick Brine, Royal Engineers, 26 September 1863. Stamped at the Topographical Department, War Office, 12 November 1864. (14) Paper sleeve originally containing item (15).
