[The petition is very badly damaged, and is missing a substantial portion from its right-hand side, and much of what remains is obscured by staining. A guard note links this petition with either Richard Conyngeton or Richard de Ronhale, and the petition clearly refers to the church of Southwell. It is probably a request for the ratification of a prebend held in that church].
