The petitioner requests that the King grant him and the heir male of his body the title of Earl of Suffolk with £20 yearly from the issues and farms of Suffolk with the arrears since Easter last, of both of which he was possessed until by judgment against him in the parliament held at Westminster in the eleventh year of the King's reign [1388] the money was seized into the King's hand and the name of earl taken from him, because by a statute published in the last parliament all judgments and statutes made at the said parliament of the eleventh year were revoked and annulled.
