Guernsey. 'Sketch of the Ground in rear of the proposed Harbour...': maps showing fortifications, roads, fields, settlements and the coast. (3) Plan showing the ground which may be required by the Admiralty. Reference table to land ownership. Scale: 1 inch to 150 yards. (5) Plan showing the sites proposed for Towers. Scale: 1 inch to 300 yards. Compass indicators. Both signed by Lieutenant Colonel W C Ward, Commanding Royal Engineer, to accompany his letter to the Inspector General of Fortifications, Guernsey, 11 January 1847. Dimensions: (3) 44 cm x 28 cm; (5) 45 cm x 36 cm.
