Ireland: County Roscommon: [Athlone (now in County Westmeath)]. Two plans showing (24) land sold by the Ordnance to the Commissioners of Inquiry and land on which houses formerly standing were pulled down to clear ground for a new bridge; and (25) sites of houses on that land at the time of purchase by the Commissioners. Scales: 1 inch to 50 feet. Initialled by 'E.H' [E Hornsley], Secretary to the Shannon Commission. An MS note on each plan reads 'Tracing to accompany the Secretary's letter dated Shannon Commission Office 27th Nov/1844'. Dimensions of sheets: (24) 47.5 cm x 33 cm; (25) 46 cm x 35 cm.
