Staffordshire. Plan showing land at Handsworth (now in Birmingham, West Midlands) purchased by the Board of Ordnance as a site for the proposed new barracks. The boundary of Ordnance property, use of land, roads, buildings and surrounding properties are also shown. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 2 chains. Compass indicator. Signed by Captain John Chaytor, Royal Engineers, and originally accompanying his return of landed property dated 11 July 1848 to the Inspector General of Fortifications.
