To Grenvile from Clavering, congratulating him on his appointment as secretary of state of the Northern department. He encloses a copy of a letter from the landgrave of Hesse [SP 87/44/82] with orders that no deserters of French nationality are to be recruited into the Hessians. Events in Saxony, Stettin and Silesia. He encloses a copy of a declaration [SP 87/44/83] made by the Russian minister at Ratisbon. Dated at Brunswick. ff. 183, 184
