Halifax to Clavering enclosing a copy of a letter [SP 87/45/29] to the landgrave of Hesse's minister in London, which Clavering is to communicate to the landgrave and Prince Ferdinand. He also encloses copies of the articles of the treaty which concern the German war. The king has written to the Marquis of Granby to investigate alleged excesses by British troops in Hesse. Dated at St James's. ff. 51, 52
