Nature of request
Walter, Archbishop of Canterbury, asks the King to send a writ under the targe to the Chancellor or to the Keeper of the great seal, to send a writ to the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer to give him a full allowance for the summons of the Eyre of Kent in the time of Hervey de Staunton, and for the other foreign summons of the Exchequer, which he claims as the right of his church of Holy Trinity, Canterbury, as his predecessors have had. And he asks that the rolls of the Exchequer might be searched, so that the allowances can be properly made.
