Nature of request
[This petition is damaged.]Edmund de Dynieton states that he served the King's father faithfully in war, and suffered great misfortunes because of it, and that the late King, in his parliament in his thirty-third year ordained for his advancement. However, he was never able to have this advancement because of the enmity of the Bishop of Chester. He asks the King to order his Chancellor to search for his petition and the late King's ordinance, and to give him his letters from bishop to bishop in accordance with that ordinance until he is provided for.
