- Auger, Lord of Bats, states that Oliver de Hingham, formerly Seneschal of Gascony, promised him and five others, for their service to the King, that they would be made bannerets, and have all the franchises and honours granted to other bannerets of Gascony. This honour has been granted to the other five, but not to him. He therefore asks to be made a banneret, which will be to the King's advantage as he will then be bound to serve him with ten men at arms, rather than himself alone. He asks the King to order the Seneschal of Gascony to inform himself of this matter, and to give him this grace if it is found not to be to the King's prejudice.
