- [This petition is damaged.]The Mayor and community of Bristol state that the vintners of the Duchy of Guyenne have lately purchased the King's letters patent granting them the right to buy and sell their wines both to aliens and denizens, which is contrary to the franchises of Bristol, granted by the King's ancestors, and will prevent them from paying tallages or contributions to the King in future. They ask that they might have and enjoy their franchise as they did in times past.
