Nature of request
John de Suthewell states that the King sent a writ to Walter de Gloucestria, Escheator South of the Trent, to provide him with a wardship worth £10 annually, and a wardship worth 8 marks annually is currently in the King's hand through the death of Robert de Merston. He asks the Treasurer to tell Adam de Osegoteby to send him the valuation made of Robert's lands and tenements, together with the transcript of the writ to the Escheator, and to give John grace of the wardship together with the marriage, for his long service to the King.
