- The Earl of Stafford requests that he be allowed to continue to receive the full profits from the town of Kilkenny and his third of the liberty of the town, despite his absence from Ireland, notwithstanding the ordinance against absentee landlords. Since the town is surrounded by the king's enemies, he has suffered great costs in its defence, and will continue to do so.
