Nature of request
The Prioress and convent of Henwood state that the king lately granted them the church of Charlton on Otmoor, which formerly belonged to the priory of Ware. However, that priory had earlier been granted to the Duke of Surrey, and the nuns, who are in great poverty, request that they be granted the advowson of the church of Wigston Magna instead, without fine or fee.
