Nature of request
Elizabeth Tryvet states that she delivered a certain silver vessel to John de Clynton on the understanding that, on his death, it would be delivered to Sothill to her own use. However, Thomas Clynton and the other executors of John Clynton have refused to make delivery until Sothill makes quitclaim to them, which he has refused to do. She therefore requests that the king order Sothill to make the necessary acquittance, or to appear before him on 15 April next, so that this can be resolved before the king leaves for Ireland.

The chancery warrant with which this petition and that at SC 8/221/11011 were formerly enclosed is dated 8 April 1399. This date would correspond with the date of 15 April noted within, and the imminent departure of Richard II for Ireland.
