Nature of request
The petitioners, executors of the will of the king's father, state that the late king was seised of the wardship of William, cousin and heir of William Boleyn of Stickford, which wardship descended to them as executors on the king's death. However, they have now been forcibly ousted from that wardship by Thomas Boleyn, a servant of Cromwell, and request that they be reinstated to their rights.

[Ralph Cromwell], Lord Cromwell.
Note
Dated on the guard to 1422-3, with reference to SC 8/45/2204 and SC 8/189/9401-2. The precise relevance of these is unclear, but the executors granted the wardship and marriage of Boleyn to Thomas Somercotes of Wisslingham and Thomas Halywell of Spilsby shortly before 6 July 1424 (DL 42/18 f.189v), suggesting that they had control at that point. Another note on the guard suggests a date after 1427, but FitzHugh died in 1425.
