Nature of request
Richard and Helen Peyntour recount that they were falsely imprisoned at Aylesbury by Profet's writ of trespass until the return of the said writ, notwithstanding their writ of supersedeas to the sheriff of Buckinghamshire to grant them bail which was delivered to Profet by Bedford in the presence of Aylesbury. Profet would not execute their writ, but angrily and rudely threw it into the stream. The petitioners request that Profet be ordered to appear before the council to answer to the King for this contempt.

[On face] 1) Helen Peyntour appoints her husband and Goldsmith as her attorneys.2) A writ was sent to Profet ordering him to appear before the King in Chancery on the Thursday next to answer in this matter.[On dorse: None.]
