- Wolverton and John and Alice Morteyn state that when Wolverton and Haket were collectors of the two tenths and fifteenths granted to the King in the 1st year of his reign (1377) in the Isle of Wight, they were ordered to pay Northland 100 marks for his costs in safe-keeping the Isle from enemies with 100 men-at-arms, which Wolverton did although he had no writ or warrant for the same. The petitioners request that they may have a warrant to discharge them of the said 100 marks since they now have been called to account for the same in the Exchequer.
